Alocal Funeral Director is helping their local hospice to achieve sweet success by appealing for donations of chocolate and sweets towards the Tandridge Friends of St Catherine's Hospice stall at the Whyteleafe Fete. St Catherine's became the main provider of end of life care in Tandridge in 2009 and needs to raise a gobstopping £5m every year to provide end of life care to people in our area completely free of charge. Community Fundraiser at St Catherine's, Victoria Lawrence, said "Our Tandridge Friends group have recently been established and they are so excited about having their first stall at the Whyteleafe Fete. It's fantastic that Pinks are supporting their efforts and we hope that the community will go Fruit and Nut for this idea!" Jenny Gibbs, Manager at Pinks, said "We wanted to do something a little different to support St Catherine's Hospice and this is a great way to get involved. They provide a vital service to local people so we want to help make this fundraising event a huge success".
