'Smile at Home' at 221 Croydon Road, Caterham Valley, is a treasure trove of gorgeous items for your home. The fascinating shop is overflowing with beautiful pieces of vintage furniture including dining tables, chairs, stools, cabinets and even chaise longues. A choice of 90 mirrors is always in stock and there is a catalogue available to order from in the shop. The owner of Smile at Home, Sabrina Lock says: "The large number of items we have here can be a bit overwhelming when people first come to visit us but if they cannot see what they are looking for we can usually find it for them." In addition to vintage items the shop sells new lamps, pictures, lanterns, jugs, clocks and other quirky bits and pieces to mix in with old, pre-loved things. Painted furniture is in abundance and Sabrina offers a bespoke painting service for customers who want to give their old furniture a new lease of life. Sabrina also sells Autentico Chalk Paint which she says has been flying off the shelves. "Autentico is wonderful paint and very popular because it is so easy to use," says Sabrina. "Furniture needs minimal preparation before giving it a coat of Autentico, then it goes on like butter. We have a great range of colours in stock and testers available." Smile at Home offers free advice to help customers with decluttering, sourcing the perfect pieces and creating an individual look. Sabrina is holding a special Pimms day on Saturday 7th July between 10am-5pm so you can pop in, have a browse and discuss homestyle ideas over a glass of Pimms! Parking is readily available outside the shop. Smile at Home supports the Smile Malawi charity no. 1106225. |
