'Cut Price Carpets' has been open for business in Chaldon Road, Caterham, since 27th April this year. Owner, Simon Brenner, recently decided to sponsor local youth football team, Queen's Park FC.

Simon said: "I like to help the local community as much as I can and football is close to my heart.

Queen's Park is a friendly club, run entirely by volunteers, so Cut Price Carpets is sponsoring the Under 11s Nike football kit for the next two seasons."

Simon, from Foxon Lane in Caterham, has been in the carpet business for 13 years.

He said: "I was originally a carpet sales rep and then became an area sales manager.

I was learning so much about the carpet trade that 13 years ago I decided to set up my own business."

Simon is delighted to have new premises in such a good position alongside other busy shops in Chaldon Road, opposite Hillcroft School. The shop is overflowing with roll-ends and roomsized remnants of all types and sizes.

One of Simon's customers Linda, was very pleased with how quickly her new carpet was fitted after she visited the shop. She said: "I came into the shop in the afternoon, the room was measured up in the evening and my new carpet was fitted within 48 hours!"

Simon has three experienced carpet fitters who, between them, have over 100 years' experience at fitting carpets. Simon can also arrange credit for customers who want to spread the cost.
