On Tuesday 20th November, Ron and Terri Jacks celebrated the 40th anniversary of the day they opened their new business, Merstham Glass. Their intention was to provide a first class glazing and double glazing service which, Ron explained, is still their aim. Ron said: "We have never wanted to grow outside the area as we prefer to remain local. Our slogan is 'large enough to cope, small enough to care' which we think suits us very well." Over the years the range of products sold by Merstham Glass has grown, ranging from windows and conservatories to the latest maintenance free 'evolution storm windows'. After listening to what their customers wanted, the company can now supply and fit garage doors! Merstham glass serves both the public and the private sectors covering a wide range of requirements. Speaking about their anniversary, Ron said: "In many ways the 40th is just another working day but it is great to reflect on the early years and the many changes to our industry. We have several staff who have been with us over 15 years, a few over 25 years and a couple over 30 years! We offer our thanks to all our staff past and present for what they have contributed to our success. "Finally but not least, thanks to all our customers for their continued support."
