Owner, Janet Jenner, opened the store two years ago and now has many regular customers who pop in when they need to buy a special gift rather than driving all the way into Croydon or elsewhere out of town.

"We are just a short walk from Church Walk, so many of my customers come in before doing their weekly shop in Morrison's or Waitrose," said Janet.

"I like to keep up-to-date with the popular lines, so we stock traditional and modern toys from reputable companies such as Melissa and Doug, Orange Tree Toys, Paul Lamond, Big Jigs and Airfix. Our toys include dolls, soft toys, vehicles, puzzles and games, as well as a wide selection of creative items to keep the litte ones busy!"

The Treasure Chest also sells a great selection of gifts for ladies and gents such as wallets, handbags, jewellery, jewellery boxes and manicure sets.

The range of items for the home are also very popular, especially as wedding presents.

The shop also sells knitting yarns and haberdashery which Janet will be developing more in the New Year.
