The bicycle shop in Croydon Road, Caterham Valley reopened recently as the Caterham Cycle Centre under the ownership of Paul Radford, who has over 20 years’ experience in the cycle industry. Paul hopes to be able to use his experience to make sure customers leave the shop with what they need. Paul said: “One of the largest parts of our business is the workshop. We are able to offer service work as well as individual jobs. Our mechanic is ‘Cytech’ trained, which is the cycle industry training and accreditation scheme for mechanics and technicals.” The Caterham Cycle Centre also has a Rozone Parts Degreaser which is bio-friendly and can breathe new life into old parts. Paul explained that the business is a ‘Cyclescheme’ partner. Cyclescheme are the UK's number one provider of tax-free bikes for work. The benefits can be seen on the Cyclescheme website, www.cyclescheme.co.uk The Caterham Cycle Centre is also a member of the ACT (Association of Cycle Traders) and is working with them to be able to provide finance for its customers, offering an alternative way of paying for bikes. The Caterham Cycle Centre stocks Merida bikes as well as Claud Butler and Barracuda The shop offers road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids and children’s bikes, as well as a wide range of parts and accessories including clothing and helmets.
