Meet Caterham Business is taking place on Friday 22nd October from 10am to 6pm at the Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon. The event is a 'business to business' exhibition designed to allow local businesses to network with each other and market their services. The exhibition is being supported by Tandridge District Council, Caterham Valley Parish Council, 'Shop Smart Shop Local' and Surrey Chambers of Commerce. It has been organised by local businessman Graham Tapley and his wife, Helen, of CR6 Publishing Ltd, Glen O'Dwyer of Computer Solutions and Clive Wilson of Paramount Website Design, to help local businesses promote their services to each other. It is also open to the public to make residents more aware of their local businesses. There will be over 50 businesses exhibiting their services including many exhibitors from previous years' exhibitions. A spokesman said: "As in previous years this is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to market themselves to each other and the public. Previous exhibitions have been very successful, with extremely positive feedback, and I expect this year's to build on that and create a valuable networking opportunity." The exhibition will be opened by Vice Chairman of Tandridge District Council, Brian Perkins and Sam Gyimah MP will be visiting the exhibition in the afternoon. A Better Caterham are responsible for the recent improvements to both Caterham Valley and Caterham Hill, under the banner of their Shabby to Smart initiative, which has transformed The Square. They are also promoters of the Shop Smart - Shop Local scheme which has introduced a Loyalty Card for the benefit of Caterham residents.
