VIP guests join de Stafford students to celebrate GCSE success |

On the Thursday 30th January de Stafford School in Burntwood Lane, Caterham welcomed back the class of 2013 to celebrate their successes and the school’s best ever GCSE results. Former professional footballer Ian Pearce presented the students with their certificates and then gave an inspirational speech about his career and how you can achieve your dream if you put your mind to it. Former teacher, Geraint Jenkins MBE, was invited back to present a new award, ‘The Jenkins Award’ named after him in recognition of his good work in the school over many years. Mr Jenkins was proud to present the award to two former students, Connie Saunders and Jack Gillam for their special contributions to de Stafford during their time at the school. The evening was hosted by head teacher Mr Jeremy Garner who was thrilled so many past students came to receive their awards. |
