This month we feature Caterham resident and business owner, Andrew Ashenden. Birthplace: London's West End. Marital status: Happily married to Sue. Children: Four boys - Nick, Jack, Luke and Matthew. Cars: Skoda. Pets: Millie our Golden Retriever and Misty the cat. Childhood hero: Captain Scarlett and Marine Boy. Favourite food & drink: Steak and chips or Sunday roast and London Pride. Pastimes: Golf. Likes: Watching football and Friday night in the pub. Dislikes: Bad manners and drivers who hog the middle lane on the motorway. Favourite TV show: Any football that's on. Favourite books: No time for books with all those children and pets! Favourite song: 'Live Forever' by Oasis. Favourite holiday destination: Florida. Biggest influence on your life: Mum and Dad. Proudest moment: Taking over Servicemaster 12 years ago from my dad who had owned the business for 30 years. Most embarrassing moment: Friday night in the King & Queen pub when everyone has read this! Where would you most like to live? I have been happy in the Caterham/Whyteleafe/Warlingham area most of my life so I am staying put for now. Who would you most like to throw a custard pie at? Bruce Forsythe. If you won the Lottery jackpot, how would you spend it? After looking after my family and friends I would donate money to the Maternity Unit at East Surrey Hospital and to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton who were brilliant when we needed them. |
