This month we feature John Soffe, a director at The Arc arts and recreational centre in Caterham-on-the-Hill. Birthplace: Southampton. Marital Status: Married to Beth. Children: An 18 year old stepdaughter, Jess. Cars: I borrow one. Pets: None. Childhood hero: Peter Sellers. Favourite Food & Drink: Sparkling wine and hot dogs although not at the same time. Pastimes: When I get time off, I sleep – does that count? Likes: Laughter, sugar and all ancient buildings with columns. Dislikes: Cauliflower, Gangnam Style and the devil incarnate 'Jeremy Kyle'. Favourite TV show: Have I Got News For You. Favourite books: A Picture of Dorian Grey, Brave New World, The Beano. Who would you most like to throw a custard pie at? Custard pie manufacturers - they can give it but can they take i t ? Favourite song of all time: 'Sunny Afternoon' by The Kinks.
Favourite holiday destination: Egypt – the Nile cruise was heaven. Biggest influence on your life: My younger sister – she's extremely funny. Proudest moment: My first Father's Day card. Most embarrassing moment: I'm a stand up comedian – nothing embarrasses me – it's all material. Where would you most like to live? I like living in Surrey (London close, countryside close, airport close - the best of all worlds). Who would you most like to meet? Stephen Fry – I cannot imagine a dull conversation with him.
