Oasis Academy Coulsdon students, Mollie Penfold and Hannah Martin.

Two year 8 students at Oasis Academy Coulsdon, Hannah Martin (12) & Mollie Penfold (13), are highly talented dancers and recently performed in the West End at Her Majesty’s Theatre and met TV Celebrity James Cordon!

Both girls are members of Stagecoach Performing Arts School in Coulsdon and auditioned to take part in a special musical celebration at one of London’s most prestigious theatres organised for Stagecoach schools around the UK.

Auditions were held and both girls were lucky enough to be selected.  They performed three 1920s style Charleston routines and were thrilled to be congratulated by TV celebrity James Cordon as they came off the stage. 

Mollie said: “He was really nice and posed for a picture with us.  He was there watching his nephew performing.”

Hannah added: “The whole day was really, really fun.  Everyone cheered us on and it was a great atmosphere.  As soon as we got off stage we wanted to do it again!”

The girls are looking forward to having another chance to perform their routines at the John Fisher Fete this coming Bank Holiday weekend on Monday 5th May at John Fisher School, Purley.
