Home-Start East Surrey celebrated its 20th anniversary recently with a fundraising evening at Bletchingley Golf Club. The event was attended by Tandridge District Council's Chairman Cllr. Beverley Connolly and her husband and Consort Tim Connolly. Cllr. Sally Marks, Vice Chairman of Surrey County Council also attended to lend support as Home-Start's Patron. It was a successful evening with the charity raising over £4,000 from their generous friends and supporters. All the funds raised will enable Home-Start to continue their work helping families with young children under five years old in the local community. The demand for their services has increased in the last year and is marked with a recent expansion into the Mole Valley. The charity is appealing for more funds and volunteers to help them carry out their work in the future.
