Visitors to this year's Caterham Food Festival enjoyed a very Contintental treat as they sampled the culinary delights on offer in the beautiful sunshine last Sunday, 8th June. Croydon Road in Caterham Valley was closed to traffic for most of the day as thousands of people descended on the Festival from Caterham and further afield. Many of the shops were open to welcome the many visitors to Caterham and some of the restaurants were serving up Festival specialities to celebrate the occasion. Amongs the cooked food available from stalls on the day was juicy pork from Michale Lord's Hog Roast stall, stalls serving Spanish tapas and paella, Greek delicacies, Oriental noodles, Caribbean Jerk Chicken and freshly cooked pizzas. The Great Festival Bake-Off cake competition had lots of colourful and delicious entries that were sold off to the crowd at the end of the afternoon.
