The Woldingham Pantomime is a village tradition having been put on by the village every year since 1948, and this year's production is Aladdin.
However for the first time in it's history Woldingham Pantomime is staging a 'relaxed performance".
Relaxed performances are specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes made to the light and sound effects. An easy way to understand the atmosphere is perhaps, 'the opposite of the quiet carriage on the train'.
Local MP Sam Gyimah was particularly interested to hear of the plans when he dropped in on rehearsals last weekend. He said that he was keen to get involved with local societies and he was looking forward to seeing the show.
Everybody is welcome to attend and tickets are available on-line at www.woldinghampanto.co.uk.
Performances are as follows: December 29th 7.30pm (Relaxed Performance) December 30th 7.30pm January 1st 2.30pm January 2nd 7.30pm January 3rd 2.30pm and 7.30pm
