On Wednesday 7th May, Glen O’Dwyer, owner of ‘Computer Solutions’ shop in Caterham-on-the-Hill, appeared in a television documentary on BBC1 called ‘Vertigo Road Trip’. He took part along with four other people who all suffered from a severe fear of heights. Glen and the others had to undergo various height-related challenges in order to try and overcome their fears. Filming the documentary took Glen all over the world, ending with him looking down from the dizzy heights of the top of the world’s tallest building, the 820m high Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Afterwards, Glen said: “The programme has really changed my life. I am now a lot more confident in high places. I was determined to overcome my fear of heights because I did not want it to affect my two young sons, who mean the world to me.” |
