Old Caterhamians Rugby Club are preparing for this year's Easter 7s competition on Saturday April 3rd with a hope of sunshine. Previous Easter competitions have had a variety of conditions thrown at them but rugby always wins on the day.
Clubs from around the area, along with touring sides, gather at the club's ground in Park Avenue each Easter weekend to compete in the men's and ladies annual event, watched by club members and public alike, with no entry charge for spectators.
The club are looking to expand on the event next year as it is their 50th anniversary of the 7s tournament. Old Cats are always keen to support the community and worthy causes.
With this in mind they are planning a day of rugby on Saturday April 17th in aid of Help for Heros. The day will include rugby games from all their sections (Minis, Youth, Youth Girls, Senior Mens and Ladies) , followed by a dinner in the evening.
Again, spectators will have free entry on the day and any public organisations are welcome to contact them if they would like to have input to the event.
For more info on these events or the club in general please contact Chairman Steven Dalgleish on mobile 07729 591256 .
