Leafe completed three successive league victories with a comfortable and convincing victory at home to Rochester United at the end of March, first half goals from Roscoe D'Sane and Omar Folkes were followed by goals from Daniel Day, debutant Richard Morgan and a Paul Scott penalty before a late consolation for the visitors. Leafe then entertained Erith Town on Easter Monday, where any faint hopes of making the top two places were finally put to bed in a 3-2 defeat. The home side fell behind early and were two down at the break before a second half rally saw Leafe reduce the deficit through Ryan Maxwell. Leafe 'keeper Wilkinson then denied impressive Erith striker Kofi Quartey when clean through and the home side then equalised through Omar Folkes. Shortly after however, Quartey unleashed an unstoppable strike from 30 yards into the top corner to give the visitors a deserved victory. A bad tempered match on a Tuesday night at Church Road against Beckenham Town ended disappointingly in a 2-1 defeat, with the visitors scoring a last gasp winner in injury time with a hugely controversial refereeing performance seeing Leafe reduced to nine men when Ryan Maxwell and Paul Scott were sent off for dissent. I did want to give the Whyteleafe youth team a mention for their achievements this season in reaching the semi-final of the Lucas Fettes Youth Cup. A rearranged home fixture against League leaders Erith & Belvedere held last night (Thursday 25th April) ended with a 4-0 win to Erith & Belvedere, thanks to two late goals. Leafe are welcoming Woodstock Sports on Saturday 4th May and the final game of the season is at Church Road on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May against Deal Town.
