Leafe’s season ran into a series of cup matches over October and November. Leafe continued their FA Vase run with a 4-2 win over Windsor FC, returning from a goal deficit, to draw with Lordswood away in the next round. The following fixture was a Surrey Senior Cup match against Ryman League Carshalton Athletic at Church Road. Despite holding the visitors to 0-0 at half time, a strong second half performance saw Carshalton run out comfortable 4-0 winners and Leafe's Surrey Senior Cup ambitions fell at the first hurdle. Following on from this, Leafe began a two-legged Kent League 'Macron Cup' match against league rivals Phoenix Sports, a narrow 3-2 defeat away in the first leg left plenty of hope of turning the tie around at Church Road. However, with a number of key injuries, Leafe capitulated in the home leg, losing the match 4- 0 and the tie 7-2 to exit yet another competition. A waterlogged pitch saw Leafe's planned away league fixture at Corinthian postponed before they travelled to Lordswood in the FA Vase, hoping to continue their success in their last remaining cup competition with dreams of reaching Wembley. Leafe got off to the worst possible start, conceding in the first minute. Taylor Smith replied midway through the second half to level the scores at 1-1 before a heart breaking exit conceding in the last minute. With a lengthy absence from league football, Leafe will be back at home with fixtures against Deal Town on the 14th December and Woodstock Sports on the 28th December, hoping to get the season back on track and concentrate on getting promotion back to the Ryman League.
